Frequently Asked Questions

  • Scratch resistant
  • Made from recycled material
  • Anti slip decking
  • Maintenance free
  • Wide variety of colours
  • Hidden stainless steel fixings
  • Wood grained boards
  • Won’t splinter, warp or rot

The answer is almost yes, the only bit of maintaining to do is to give it a clean once a year. To clean a composite deck, all you really need is some mild dish detergent diluted in warm water, a bristled broom and a hose, then scrub it down and rinse off!  Do not use a power washer on full blast or caustic chemicals or bleach on composite decking, you will certainly do more harm than good!

It is made of a combination of plastic and wood fibers, coming from 100% recycled materials and manufactured to look like real wood.

Since the plastic protects the wood fibers from weathering, composite decking isn’t prone to rotting, decay, or insect damage. It also won’t fade or wear down from constant exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Composite decking often comes with guarantees ranging from 10-25 years that it won’t rot or suffer structural damage under normal residential conditions.

Solid composite decking resembles authentic wood. Its core is covered with a protective wood-like shell. It doesn’t warp or stain and is mould-resistant.

Hollow composite decking is more a budget-friendly option. It gives a less-organic look but you can add some finishing strips and make it look authentic. Unfortunately, they tend to fade, stain and are susceptible to scratches and mould.
